I love what I do. I have a goal I strive for daily, I get to meet and help great people, and I solve problems that engage both my mind and my body. I know how lucky I am.

I'm a grandfather named Happy Pappy. On faith, I picked up my whole life and moved to Houston, leaving fifteen years of work behind to be closer to my kids and grandkids.
I have an engineering degree, which gives me the expertise to attack problems a little differently. And I genuinely like figuring out why something doesn't work, then fixing it. So a handyman business in Houston felt like a perfect fit.
What I'm building
When I become more financially stable, I want to connect grandfathers who mentor younger men while fixing your home. A service that meets a real need in our society, and that's in line with my ministry. I don't have a son to pass my skills or my business on to, so I want to leave behind something bigger than myself.
When disaster strikes, I show up.
Texans on Mission
This part of the mission isn't a someday. It's already happening. I serve with Texans on Mission, one of the largest disaster relief networks in the country, helping families on the worst days of their lives.
When a natural disaster hits Texas, I go. I run a chainsaw to clear fallen trees, I help with recovery and remediation, and I pitch in wherever general hands are needed to dig people out and start putting their homes back together.
And I do it free of charge, every single time.
